Our Leadership

An Incorporated Civil Engineer and alumnus of the University of Moratuwa, Mr. Channa Wijesekara is one of Sri Lanka’s foremost Wood Technologists with over 40 years of experience in the wood and interior industry.

A founding member of the Engineering Council of Sri Lanka (ECSL) and President of the Wood-Based Industrialists Association of Sri Lanka, he has shaped the nation’s furniture and woodworking landscape through leadership, innovation, and education.

Mr. Wijesekara’s international training in Germany, Thailand, and the Philippines strengthened his expertise in wood technology, educational administration, and industrial development.

He is also an author of two books on Basic Wood Technology, published by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FCCISL), and has contributed as a lecturer, consultant, curriculum writer, and advisor to several national institutions, including the University of Moratuwa, National Institute of Education (NIE), and Ministry of Industry & Commerce.

Under his guidance, Leema Creations has grown from a small enterprise into a pioneering interior design company in Sri Lanka, known for innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship.
